Open Letter From Safety Solutions

Trevor Ashline, CEO of Safety Solutions, and the inventor/engineer behind their products, has always been confident in the standard of quality of all Safety Solutions' racing safety products. Ongoing research and development, coupled with frequent testing assures their customers are receiving the best racing safety products available on the market today. Test figures prove it. "No other head restraint device available today meets or exceeds the level of protection we offer our customers," stated Ashline. "Mike Skinner's and John Force's™ accidents are perfect examples of how well my Hybrid series works. Every other SFI certified product on the market, loses its effectiveness in a 30 degree right frontal impact in the SFI 38.1 standard. Having worked on the Earnhardt investigation, I have designed my products to work best in those angles, the most common and dangerous impact angles. With my Hybrid series, in every single certification I've had, the devices have scored excellent 0 degree frontal scores, and even better in the 30 degree frontal tests. My competition cannot claim this.

Recently, misleading information has been circulated regarding the "life span" of Safety Solutions' SFI Certified head restraints. That misinformation is, in part, due to a recent oversight and/or updating error on their instruction manuals. That error has now been corrected. "To clarify, our strap harnesses, The Hutchens Device and D-Cel Harness, do have a 3 year life on them, however, they are not SFI 38.1 certified. None of our SFI 38.1 devices have a 3 year life on them. We follow the SFI 38.1 protocol which does not dictate a life span to devices that have been certified. The SFI 38.1 certification deals only with design and performance criteria."

"The information released by our competitor, to their dealers, is misleading and was used as a marketing ploy. Yoke style devices are old technology, one direction wonders,"' stated Ashline. Our products are common sense technology that applies a 'works with you, not against you concept' while out performing in every direction. We are engineering tomorrow's technology, today."

Kyle Busch's HANS device cracked during a spectacular crash at Talladega Superspeedway

Kyle Busch's HANs Device brakes in Busch crash: NASCAR on Monday tried to figure out why Kyle Busch's HANS device cracked during a spectacular crash at Talladega Superspeedway. Busch wrecked in Saturday's Busch Series event, when he was hit from behind and his car ended up on its roof before rolling several times through the grass. His HANS device, a NASCAR-mandated head-and-neck restraint system, cracked in the accident. "It performed the way it was supposed to, but it had a slight stress crack in it after the accident," NASCAR spokesman Kerry Tharp said. NASCAR sent the device back to manufacturer Hubbard Downing in Georgia for examination. Read more here.

Safety Solutions announces the Hutchins Hybrid will be approved for use in NASCAR equipment beginning July 13, 2007.
